M3U playlist is not working
Playlist problems can come from the file, the URL, the network, or the streams inside the playlist.
Import fails
Section titled “Import fails”Check:
- URL is complete and not shortened.
- URL opens in a browser on the same network.
- server does not require a browser-only login page.
- file starts with
#EXTM3U. - playlist is not empty.
Import works but channels do not play
Section titled “Import works but channels do not play”Check:
- try several channels, not only one;
- source may include offline entries;
- the stream may be geo-blocked;
- the provider may require headers or tokens that expired;
- the stream format may not be supported by the device.
Keep it safe
Section titled “Keep it safe”Do not paste private playlist URLs into public forums. Many M3U URLs contain credentials.
